400;\"> that <\/span>more than 80% of the world&#8217;s population will receive at least one dose of vaccine<b>.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Either a matter of distrust<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or <\/span>an unexpected awareness of global vaccine distribution<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Romanians prove pessimistic regarding vaccination progress for 2022.<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: there will be <\/span>more extreme weather events in their country in 2022<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with <\/span><b>only 27% <\/b>considering it unlikely<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This comes to show that <\/span><strong>Romanians are starting to worry about climate change and its effects<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, yet <\/span>they still are below the global average.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>44% <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">consider that it is <\/span>likely<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that <\/span>people will fly less than they did in 2019<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while <\/span><b>38% <\/b>disagree<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Romanians seem to be prudent regarding booking flights<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> but it is <\/span>not clea<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">r if t<\/span>hey are actually interested in their carbon footprint<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or <\/span>have internalised the pandemic travel restrictions<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><b>Economy<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>What Romanians think:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>85% <\/b>think their income will increase slower than the prices in their country<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ranking <\/span><b>5 out of the 33 participating countries.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This shows an<\/span><b> i<\/b>ncreased worry about day to day livelihood <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and<\/span> could translate <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">into a<\/span> more conservative approach of buying various products.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>33% <\/b>consider a likely event <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that <\/span>stock markets around the world will crash.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Romanians are, basically, just as worried as everyone else. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Correlated with the increase of prices, it seems like <\/span>Romanians are more worried about their personal welfare and less about the national or general one<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as it may be regarded as <\/span>more stable<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><b>Society<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-11724 size-full\" think:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>68% t<\/b>hink it\u2019s likely that city centers in their country will become busy again as people get back to working in offices on a regular basis, while<b> 23% <\/b>think it\u2019s unlikely<b>.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Romanians are a bit pessimistic though, as they are below the global average. Yet, it may be because they have adapted to a hybrid working system that avoids these kinds of crowds or just because they can\u2019t imagine for now a life like before Covid.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Only 18% <\/b>think people in their country will become more tolerant of each other, while<b> 69% <\/b>think it is unlikely.<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>10% below the global average<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, but may also reflect <\/span>a positive view in the sense that Romanians are aware of the problem as they are on the bottom position among other european countries, better known for their tolerance.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Technology<\/b><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-11726 size-full\" style=\"font-size: 12px; color: #000000;\">The high percentage comes to prove that Romanians are mentally prepared for the upcoming digital technologies, such as Metaverse.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Only 27% <\/b>consider a likely that<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> their <\/span>government will introduce strict rules for large tech companies in 2022 with<b> 48% <\/b>thinking the opposite.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This comes to show that <\/span>Romanians are aware of possible digital threats, but feel unprotected by the people that should do so.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><b>Global Threats<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-11720 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/global-threats.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1107\" height=\"755\" srcset=\"https:\/\/minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/global-threats.png 1107w, https:\/\/minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/global-threats-300x205.png 300w, https:\/\/minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/global-threats-1024x698.png 1024w, https:\/\/minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/global-threats-768x524.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1107px) 100vw, 1107px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>What Romanians think:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Only<strong> 27%<\/strong> consider a likely event<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that <\/span>a natural disaster will hit a major city in their country<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, compared with the <\/span><strong>44%<\/strong> thinking the opposite<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>38%<\/strong> consider a likely <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">event<\/span> hackers from a foreign government causing a global IT shutdown<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span>while <strong>36%<\/strong> think the opposite<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Only <strong>29%<\/strong> think it is likely that nuclear weapons will be used in a conflict somewhere in the world<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span> while <strong>47%<\/strong> think differently.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>24%<\/strong> think it is likely that a rogue artificial intelligence program that can\u2019t be shut down will cause significant havoc globally<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while <\/span><strong>54%<\/strong> consider it to be unlikely<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>62%<\/strong> think it is unlikely that An asteroid will hit the Earth<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, while<\/span> only <strong>12%<\/strong> of them think it may happen<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>17%<\/strong> think aliens visiting Earth<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is <\/span>a likely event of 2022 while for <strong>57%<\/strong> of them it is an unlikely event.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">All these responses come to show that Romanians are pretty rooted in the global community, sharing its various points of view, the regional variation coming from the reduced incidence of events such as cyberattacks or really visible climate change effects.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><b>Outlook for 2022<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-11722 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/outlook.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1093\" height=\"755\" srcset=\"https:\/\/minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/outlook.png 1093w, https:\/\/minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/outlook-300x207.png 300w, https:\/\/minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/outlook-1024x707.png 1024w, https:\/\/minio.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/outlook-768x531.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1093px) 100vw, 1093px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>What Romanians think:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>80% <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are <\/span>optimistic <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that <\/span>2022 will be a better year for them than it was in 2021<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with <\/span><b>3% above the global average.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>89% <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">think that <\/span>2021 was a bad year for their country<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <\/span><b>TOP country on the list,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> while the <\/span><b>global average is of 77%<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>88%<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will <\/span>make some personal resolutions to do some specific things for themselves or others in 2022<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span>way over the average of<b> 75%.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>53% <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">think <\/span>the global economy will be stronger in 2022 than it was in 2021, compared to <strong>the<\/strong><b> global average of 61%.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>68%<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> feel that<\/span> 2021 was a bad year for them and their families<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, compared to the <\/span><b>global average of 58%.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Key Takeaways<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ipsos report draws <\/span><b>the portrait of a Romanian deeply affected by the Pandemic,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> scoring<\/span><b> on the pessimistic side of the spectrum in most of the areas regarding the past<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a really prudent one about the economic near future but somehow tries to be moderately optimistic regarding the future.
